Job Summary:

The Pool Grille Server provides platinum level dining and beverage service to members and guests in the Pool Grille area. The Pool Server must be knowledgeable and follows Club policies and procedures; always maintains order and cleanliness; will assure that member’s satisfaction standards are consistently attained. Will seek opportunities to create memorable moments and deliver legendary service with gracious hospitality. This individual will embody The Carolina Country Club Platinum Service Absolutes and ensure Platinum Level Service at all times. The Pool Grille server is responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and attitude while serving members and guests at all times. You are responsible in making sure members are served food and beverage in a safe, upbeat, atmosphere. Welcoming smile/demeanor.

Job Functions include:

  • Assists with table setup, maintenance, cleanliness and safety of pool grille areas.
  • Ensures a safe environment for all members and guests.
  • Assists in pool opening and closing at the beginning and end of season.
  • Assists in daily cleaning duties to maintain the appearance of snack bar and pool deck, including garbage taken out and bins cleaned.
  • Operates pool and surrounding areas in compliance with OSHA requirements
  • Communicates with lifeguards, pool managers, wellness staff and food and beverage managers.
  • Takes orders, rings in POS system, and delivers orders to patrons on the pool deck
  • Formulates requisition sheets of products needed to restock to go area.
  • Maintains professionalism and remains busy even in down time.
  • Always speaks respectfully to team members and club members
  • Restock fridge and freezer, clean ice cream machines, stock condiments, stock materials needed to safely and efficiently serve members.
  • Clean high traffic areas thoroughly
  • Performs miscellaneous responsibilities if needed.
  • Implements team work and attends staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Completes required computer based training courses
  • Is responsible for knowing CCC Employee Policies and working by the CCC Mission Statement.
  • Demonstrates Core Values and Absolutes consistently
  • Arrives on time and ready to work in full uniform, including name tag.

  • Capable of standing and maneuvering independently and safely around work areas with the ability to setup youth rooms with large equipment and furniture.
  • Ability to see and hear, or to use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that job duties can be performed successfully.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must have the ability to get along well with others and demonstrate a high level of sensitivity and interest in people and children.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs or more on occasion
  • Capable of standing and maneuvering independently and safely around work area
  • Subject to extreme weather conditions due to heat outside
  • Capable of standing/walking for long period of times; eight hours or more.
  • Subject to moderate physical and emotional stress associated with food/beverage service.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule; including weekends and holidays
