Pool Technician

Position Overview

The Pool Technician is responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and safe operation of the swimming pool and related water features within a private villa. This role ensures the pool remains clean, hygienic, and fully functional at all times, following UAE health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pool Maintenance & Cleaning

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of the pool.
• Vacuum pool floors, brush walls, and skim debris from the surface.
• Clean and maintain pool tiles, steps, and surrounding areas.
• Ensure pool deck and equipment areas are tidy and hazard‑free.

2. Water Quality Management

• Test water chemistry (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, calcium hardness).
• Adjust chemical levels to maintain safe and balanced water.
• Add chlorine, algaecide, shock treatments, and other chemicals as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs of chemical readings and treatments.

3. Equipment Operation & Repair

• Inspect and maintain pumps, filters, heaters, and dosing systems.
• Backwash filters and clean strainers regularly.
• Identify mechanical issues and perform minor repairs.
• Coordinate with external technicians for major repairs or replacements.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure the pool meets UAE hygiene and safety regulations.
• Monitor water clarity and temperature.
• Report any hazards or risks immediately.
• Safely store chemicals according to UAE guidelines.

5. Additional Villa Support (if required)

• Assist with basic maintenance tasks around the villa when pool duties are complete.
• Support villa staff during events or guest visits.

Qualifications & Skills

• At least 3 years of experience as a Pool Technician (villa, hotel, or residential).
• Knowledge of pool systems, pumps, filters, and chemical dosing.
• Ability to read and interpret water test results.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in UAE climate.
• Good communication skills; ability to interact professionally with villa owners and staff.

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
