Job Summary

We are looking for two experienced Population Health Data Engineers with strong expertise in the Epic data ecosystem and healthcare analytics. This role will focus on building scalable data pipelines, integrating clinical and claims data, and developing data models to support population health, quality reporting, and risk analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for population health and claims analytics.
• Work extensively with Epic data platforms, including:
• Clarity
• Caboodle
• Chronicles
• Registries & Rosters
• Integrate clinical and claims data to support longitudinal patient-level analytics.
• Develop and optimize data models for:
• Quality measures
• Risk stratification
• Utilization and cost analysis
• Care management
• Build and support risk adjustment models (HCC, RAF, MARA).
• Process and transform medical and pharmacy claims data.
• Work with Milliman MedInsight data models for payer-provider analytics and benchmarking.
• Develop and optimize ELT pipelines using modern cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with Healthy Planet, clinical, quality, and analytics teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and HIPAA compliance.
• Optimize performance for large datasets and complex SQL queries.

Epic & Healthcare Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Epic Clarity & Caboodle
• Chronicles data structures
• Epic Registries / Healthy Planet
• Solid understanding of:
• Population Health
• Value-Based Care
• Risk Adjustment (HCC, RAF, MARA)

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with:
• Snowflake (data warehousing)
• DBT (Data Build Tool)
• Dynamic Tables (Snowflake)
• Advanced SQL and data modeling expertise
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines

Healthcare Data Experience

• Hands-on experience with:
• Medical & pharmacy claims data
• Payer-provider analytics
• Milliman MedInsight (preferred)

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
• Computer Science
• Health Informatics
• Data Engineering or related field
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering
• Prior experience in:
• Healthcare
• Population Health analytics
• Payer environments (preferred)
