We are looking for an experienced Poratta (Parotta) Maker. The ideal candidate will be skilled in dough preparation, hand-stretching techniques, and cooking porattas to achieve the correct texture, layers, and taste while maintaining hygiene and efficiency in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook poratta with consistent quality and taste.
- Handle dough preparation, resting, layering, and hand-stretching techniques.
- Ensure proper texture, softness, and flakiness of porattas.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area and equipment.
- Manage mise en place and ensure timely preparation during service hours.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Minimize food wastage and follow portion control standards.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Poratta (Parotta) Maker in restaurants.
- Strong knowledge of traditional preparation methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering kitchens.
- GCC experience is an added advantage.
