Job Purpose:

The Port Operations Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing vessel port call operations. This role ensures smooth execution of loading and discharge activities in coordination with MAWANI, terminal operators, and all relevant service providers, while maintaining compliance with SOPs, shipping regulations, and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Coordination

Ensure pre-planning of vessel port operations for smooth execution
Prepare and present vessel call plans to MAWANI operations team
Coordinate special operational requirements and secure necessary pre-approvals

Operations Management

Oversee vessel requirements and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Liaise with local authorities for inward/outward vessel clearance
Submit cargo manifests and obtain required permissions to avoid penalties
Monitor cargo loading/discharge activities and update operational systems
Supervise stevedores and ensure proper cargo handling, including hazardous materials
Ensure compliance with MAWANI HSE standards and company SOPs
Coordinate crew embarkation/disembarkation
Manage port dues invoices and ensure timely processing
Secure gate passes, port passes, and required permits

Performance & Compliance

Conduct performance review meetings with terminal operators
Identify and resolve operational issues promptly
Maintain effective communication with customers, agents, ship owners, and port authorities
Ensure safe working environment and regulatory compliance
