Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Port Senior Government Integration Specialist to join our team! In this role you will act as the strategic liaison between the Port Authority and all relevant government entities to ensure alignment of port operations with national policies and international regulations. The role focuses on government integration, stakeholder coordination, and compliance oversight, while strengthening the port’s position as a key national and international logistics hub.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead integration with government agencies to ensure smooth operations and alignment with national priorities.
• Represent the Port Authority in official meetings with ministries, authorities, and international maritime organizations.
• Draft and implement Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and cooperation agreements with government and intergovernmental entities.
• Ensure port operator compliance with government requirements (customs, security, environmental, health).
• Provide recommendations to senior management on challenges and opportunities related to government relations.
• Monitor and analyze new regulations and policies affecting the port sector and submit policy briefs to leadership.
• Coordinate joint initiatives, projects, and committees with government stakeholders.
• Prepare periodic reports for senior management on government integration status and emerging issues.
• Serve as the Port Authority's representative with international maritime organizations including IMO, IALA, GCC Seaports Council, ECA, Riyadh MoU, UKHO, and other applicable bodies.
• Act as the liaison with national agencies occupying Port premises (e.g., Customs, Border Control), ensuring compliance with respective MoUs and government mandates.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders on issues related to port operations, sovereignty, infrastructure, and national interests.
• Support legal and compliance investigations related to government interactions or regulatory violations at the Port.
• Facilitate communication and coordination between the Port Authority and port users, agents, service providers, and government-linked stakeholders.
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding regulatory trends, compliance risks, and stakeholder concerns.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in government relations, stakeholder engagement, or institutional integration, preferably within the port or maritime sector.
• Proven experience dealing with governmental and intergovernmental maritime organizations.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Familiarity with government procedures within ports (customs, security, environment, health).
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and contract management skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with port operation and audit software is a plus.
