Porter/Maintenance

Owner-managed property management company seeking a dependable Porter/Groundskeeper to join our team at a 241-unit apartment community in San Antonio, TX. The Porter/Groundskeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the property’s cleanliness, curb appeal, and safety—ensuring a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

Lawn and Trash Management & Cleaning

• Maintain community grounds by collecting litter, pet waste, and debris.
• Regularly clean parking lots, sidewalks, entryways, courtyards, and outdoor amenities.
• Keep trash and recycling areas clean, organized, and functional.

Pool Maintenance

• Test Pool(s) Daily to ensure the safety of the residents
• Maintain clean and well-balanced pool(s) for the enjoyment of the residents and their guests

Inspection & Reporting

• Monitor condition of exterior elements (lighting, fencing, signage).
• Report safety hazards and maintenance needs to management.

Maintenance Assistance

• Support maintenance team with minor repairs (e.g., changing light bulbs, small fixes).

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain grounds free of hazards to ensure resident and visitors’ safety.
• Follow company policies and use safety equipment when performing tasks.

Customer Service

• Provide a positive, helpful presence around the community.
• Assist residents and visitors with questions or concerns regarding grounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance preferred.
• Strong physical stamina; able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor work in varying weather.
• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and walking.
