Portfolio Control Senior Manager (PPM)

We are seeking an experienced Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Senior Manager to lead and mature enterprise-wide portfolio management practices, ensuring strategic initiatives are aligned, financially governed, and delivered through a structured, value-driven portfolio model.

This role will act as a critical bridge between strategy and execution, driving portfolio prioritization, governance, demand management, financial oversight, and portfolio performance across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Portfolio Management

  • Lead the enterprise-wide PPM framework, operating model, and governance standards
  • Align portfolio investments with business strategy and strategic priorities
  • Drive portfolio planning, sequencing, prioritization, and dependency management
  • Define KPIs and value realization frameworks across the portfolio

Demand & Portfolio Governance

  • Establish centralized demand intake and approval processes
  • Define project classification standards and portfolio segmentation models
  • Implement governance frameworks, stage gates, and approval workflows
  • Ensure portfolio transparency, controls, and executive reporting

Portfolio Prioritization & Financial Oversight

  • Lead portfolio prioritization using value, risk, cost, and dependencies criteria
  • Optimize resource allocation across competing initiatives
  • Oversee portfolio budgets, financial tracking, and investment governance
  • Drive benefits realization and monitor portfolio financial performance

Performance Reporting & Tools

  • Establish executive dashboards, portfolio reporting, and performance metrics
  • Provide insights on risks, dependencies, and portfolio health
  • Lead implementation and governance of PPM tools and integrated platforms
  • Ensure a single source of truth across project and portfolio data

Continuous Improvement & Transformation

  • Define and drive the PPM maturity roadmap
  • Benchmark against industry best practices (PMI, Axelos)
  • Lead transformation initiatives to improve portfolio effectiveness



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Project, Program, or Portfolio Management
  • Strong experience establishing or transforming enterprise PPM functions
  • Experience in portfolio prioritization, governance, and investment planning
  • Strong background in financial governance and budget oversight
  • Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Proven people leadership experience

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP (Required)
  • PfMP or PgMP (Highly Preferred)
