Positive Behavioral Support Analyst

Position Overview:
Looking to advance your career from a Direct Support Professional (DSP) role? Positive Behavioral Support Analysts provide critical assistance to both clients and their support staff by collecting data, completing behavioral assessments, developing, and implementing positive support transition plans and training support teams on how to implement plans. This role reports to clinical supervisor and has no direct reports.
Role Responsibilities:
- Development of positive behavior support plans to teach an alternative, positive behavior that will result in an increase in a person’s quality of life and decrease of the challenging behavior.
- Ongoing training for staff on developed plans
- Periodic reassessment and modification of the plan(Use of person-centered approaches that incorporate a comprehensive, functional behavior assessment of both positive and challenging behavior.
- 1:1 meeting with individuals served
- Facilitate team meetings and provide feedback to support team.
Required Qualification and Experience:
- One of the following qualifications is required to for eligibility for this position:
- Two years of supervised experience conducting functional behavior assessments and designing, implementing, and evaluating effectiveness of positive practices behavior support strategies for people who exhibit challenging behaviors as well as co-occurring mental disorders and neurocognitive disorder, or
- for those who have obtained a baccalaureate degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields, demonstrated expertise in positive support services.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check.
- Willingness to travel within the Metro Area, for applicable mileage reimbursements, with a current driver’s license, clean record, and personal vehicle with insurance.
- Posses a person-centered approach, consistent with the Philosophical approach of the individual program and RTI
- Ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
- Other, as needed, as company and role grows or evolves

Compensation: $23- $25 per hour
Type: Full-Time
Shifts: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
Location: Metro Area, with travel to different locations throughout
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Employees in this role must be able to:
- Walk, stand, sit, bend, climb stairs, and perform crisis prevention/intervention techniques
- Use hands for writing, typing, and data entry
- Lift up to 40 lbs. and occasionally exert physical effort during duties
- Maintain vision and hearing necessary for reading charts, operating office equipment, using a computer, and driving a vehicle
