Under the general direction of the leadership, the incumbent is responsible for the independent management and administration of a portfolio of contracts and grants with a primary emphasis on post award administration of clinical trials. The successful incumbent will need skills as a seasoned, experienced research administrator to independently develop and/or oversee research awards and / or transactions related to contract and grant management and maintains contract and grant records in compliance with institutional research sponsor policies. The incumbent works on clinical trials of diverse scope where analysis of data requires thorough understanding of complex regulations.
The incumbent will research issues, analyze data, prepare reports, make recommendations and meet with Principal Investigators on a monthly basis.
Will be responsible for providing accurate monthly financial reports to Principal Investigators, and leadership. Develop budgetary projections for review and make budgetary adjustments as needed. Responsible for primary authorization and oversight of expenses on clinical trials including purchasing, invoice processing and expense reimbursements for clinical trial grants. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as the subject matter expertise for pre-award submission and will work closely with Faculty to submit all extramural and intramural grants.
