Post Closing Specialist
Purpose: The Post-Closing Specialist work within the post closing team to ensure documents are recorded in the public land records, and the final title policies are issued consistent with underwriting guidelines and client expectations. In addition, the Post-Closing Specialist may assist clients with post-closing curative matters, corrections and policy endorsements.
Reports to: Post Closing Manager
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Some or all of the following duties & responsibilities may be assigned to the Post Closing Specialist as business needs dictate:
· Complete title policies on closing & policy-only files, auditing the closing package to ensure title commitment requirements were properly met and ensuring the policy is completed in accordance with best practices.
· Communicate with clients to transmit final policies & to provide requested corrections to title policies via title insurance endorsements.
· Review documents necessary for recording in the public land records, ensuring they meet formatting & statutory requirements, and submit for recording to meet statutory compliance.
· Meet statutory, company and ALTA Best Practice standards for recording and policy turn times, as well as overall productivity.
· Work with internal underwriting staff and attorneys, along with escrow officers and processors, to make necessary corrections to recorded deeds, issue policy endorsements, as the case may be.
· Provide outstanding service to our clientele by greeting clients and answering phones in professional manner; provide exceptional written and verbal communication to clients. Address client needs in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Correspond with lenders, builders, agents and attorneys as needed.
Update job knowledge by routinely participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
· Enhance company reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests. Explore opportunities to add value to company and key accounts.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
· Strong customer service skills
· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel) title insurance software and/or mortgage loan closing software
· Missouri and/or Colorado title agent license (if not currently licensed, must obtain promptly upon hiring)
· High school diploma or GED required (bachelor’s degree or paralegal certified preferred)
Terms
· Non-exempt, full time, Monday – Friday; flexible hours available
· Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance plans, 401(k), vacation time, profit share bonus plan

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
