Position Summary
The Calabrese Lab in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our dynamic research team. Our lab investigates the mechanisms of gene regulation mediated by long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), RNA-binding proteins, and chromatin-modifying complexes. We employ a multidisciplinary approach that integrates molecular biology, genomics, and computational biology to uncover how these factors influence gene expression and contribute to cellular function and disease.

The successful candidate will design and execute experiments focused on RNA biology and gene regulation, and will analyze high-throughput sequencing datasets such as RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, and CLIP-seq. This role involves close collaboration with lab members and external researchers, as well as active participation in presenting research findings at lab meetings, scientific conferences, and through peer-reviewed publications. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will also contribute to grant writing efforts and provide mentorship to junior researchers in the lab.
