Position Summary
The Deshmukh Lab in the Neuroscience Center in the UNC School of Medicine is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The main research objectives of this position are to examine the mechanism and biological significance of senescence in neurons. This would include, but not limited to, working with primary neurons in culture and mouse models, and conducting molecular and cell biological experiments to examine the senescence pathway in neurons.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Ph.D. or similar degree in the field of cell biology, neuroscience, or a similar field.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience in neuroscience research or similar field.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Previous experience in working with cells and utilizing molecular and cell biological approaches. Experience in field of senescence is preferred.
