The Post Doctoral Scholar will serve in the Division of Environmental Health Sciences, College of Public Health at The Ohio State University and lead and support advanced research on West Nile virus (WNV) dynamics, with a primary focus on computational infectious disease modeling and quantitative analyses of field data. They will contribute to a multidisciplinary program exploring drivers and seasonality of WNV in a multi-species system. They will write code, use models and other quantitative or statistical analyses within life science, biological, or health research in order to test hypotheses about the biological system. They will write and assist with writing scientific manuscripts and prepare and give scientific presentations to communicate the results of this research. The Post Doctoral Scholar will also participate in other activities that aid development of the their researcher’s career, including presenting research at scientific conferences, teaching, project management, developing new studies, and collaborating on ongoing projects.
