UCLA Law's Center for Reproductive Health, Law, and Policy (CRHLP) seeks a post-graduate law fellow to engage in cutting-edge, high-quality research and analysis related to reproductive justice. The Law Fellow will further the Center's mission by conducting constitutional, legal, policy, and factual research, and writing on reproductive health, rights, and justice topics to advance new ideas and impact policy and legal change in reproductive rights, health, and justice areas. Working with CRHLP attorneys, researchers, and affiliated scholars, the Law Fellow will help produce legal and policy reports and resources, amicus briefs, public comments on regulations and policy, opinion pieces, academic articles, and other work. The Law Fellow will also support the Center's work to convene people across disciplines and issues to strengthen the connection between advocacy, research, and healthcare practice and promote strategic and practical solutions to legal and policy problems. Topical areas the Law Fellow will work on include abortion, contraception, maternal health; fertility care, racial and other disparities in access to care; and economic and criminal legal system policies that impact reproductive health and whether those who decide to build families can thrive, among other topics. The duration of the position is one year (approximately September 2026-September 2027), and it will be based in Los Angeles, California, with a hybrid work arrangement involving some days in the Center's Westwood office and more flexibility during periods when law school is not in session.
