About the role

We are seeking a Post Production Supervisor experienced in multi-format campaigns, high volume design and animation projects and experiential content, as well as traditional advertising formats, to oversee, manage and deliver projects of varying size and format.

As the end-to-end owner of animation and digital design projects for some of our key clients, the role requires a seasoned professional who can not only craft the strategic delivery plan but also confidently dive into operational details, such as managing high-volume assets, juggling budgets and timelines, and overseeing teams of editors, designers, and animators.

The role is both client-facing and requires a high level of technical post-production skill and experience.

Responsibilities

Project Management

• Assume full ownership of assigned projects directly delegated by LA CEO or the Head of Post Production, confidently running the entire project lifecycle from brief hand-off through to final delivery.
• Lead the delivery of high-volume digital campaigns, short-form videos, and event content with a key focus on 2D Design and Animation.
• Expertly manage large quantities (in the hundreds) of digital assets, versions, and feedback rounds, ensuring all deliverables meet our clients’ strict quality and brand guidelines under daily deadlines.
• Maintain command of multiple active project budgets, resource trackers, and schedules, providing accurate, timely reporting to the Head of Post Production or the LA CEO.
• Oversee the final delivery of projects, performing rigorous quality control (QC) and providing transparent communication regarding caveats, outstanding items, and clear, actionable next steps for the client and internal team.
• Coordinate teams of technicians, both internal and freelance, including managing resource allocations, ensuring practitioners have the tools they need to complete projects, and sourcing a variety of freelance practitioners.
• Act as a senior point of contact for client services teams on project-specific matters, anticipating roadblocks and pre-emptively solving complex production challenges before they escalate.
• Manage all aspects of client and internal meetings related to assigned projects, including attending sessions (time-zone flexibility may be required) and meticulously documenting decisions, action items, and feedback for technicians.

Technical Oversight

• Oversee and execute media management workflows, including drive asset management, ingest and transcoding and NAS and cloud storage management
• Advise on the most effective and efficient project workflows, acting as a key technical advisor to clients as required.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with workflows for offline and online editing in Premiere Pro.
• Engage with subject matter experts to resolve issues related to After Effects, Resolve and LucidLink.
• Take responsibility for Post Production rooms and equipment in the LA office, including edit suites.
• Assist with the build-out of additional post-production infrastructure in the LA and NY offices.

Experience & Skills

Essential:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Post Producing and/or Post Supervising, and 10 years of experience in Post Production
• Experience in the production of design assets and various forms of animation, including motion graphics and 3D.
• Experience supervising or managing Post Production on commercials, episodic formats or features.
• Hands-on experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects, particularly using MGRTs, Essential Graphics/Audio, transcription and captions.
• Detailed knowledge of Post Production processes, including offline editing & online colour grading, VFX pipelines, graphics, titling, captioning, mixing and mastering.
• Demonstrated experience managing a high volume of assets on short time frames.
• Strong Google Workspace ability, especially Google Sheets (or any spreadsheet equivalent).
• Demonstrated ability to apply AI tools and applications, and other emerging technologies to Post Production workflows.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams of technicians, particularly Designers & Animators.
• Detail-oriented & highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects & deadlines simultaneously.
• Has a strong sense of client services.
• Has a creative and flexible approach to problem-solving.
• Collaborative; thrive off rallying a team to achieve great success.
• Exceptional communication skills beyond the usual; can master nuanced conversations, clear client communications and command both senior members of staff and team members.

Desired:

• Experience with DaVinci Resolve, LucidLink and/or Avid.
• Experience working with Keynote & Figma.
• Experience in Tech or B2B Advertising.

• Ability to travel as required
• (On Set) Ability to lift & utilize full range of movement to move equipment, including bend to retrieve, lift and carry equipment (within reason)
• (On Set) May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
• Must be able to work at a computer in an office setting and remain in a stationary position 50% - 100% of the time.
