The Tomanik lab in the Chemistry Department of NYU is seeking to recruit one postdoctoral associate interested in working on synthesis of complex natural products or new methodology development. This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date.
Applicants should be within a few months of completing their doctoral degree or hold a PhD in chemistry or in a closely related field. The ideal candidate will have research experience in organic methodology, total synthesis, or chemical biology. The candidate will also help with mentorship and training graduate and undergraduate students.
The terms of employment, which would be for a year, with a possibility of renewal, include a competitive salary and other benefits. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and candidates will be considered until the position is filled.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500–$62,500. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
