The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts + Sciences at Indiana University, consists of a well-rounded research community with cutting-edge expertise in a wide variety of modern disciplines including analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, materials chemistry, and biochemistry.

Job Summary:
Collaborative postdoctoral research will be conducted on a range of gas-phase chemical systems selected to explore the boundaries between valence-bound, non-valence-bound, and temporary anion states. Studies may be extended to metal oxide cluster systems.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations on the project including maintaining equipment, ensure forward progress on data acquisition and manuscript preparation, contribute intellectually to the project, mentor graduate and undergraduate students.

Basic Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Chemistry or Physics at time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with laser spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, vacuum systems, lasers, computational chemistry.
