A highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow is sought to join an interdisciplinary cardiovascular research team in the Nader’s lab focused on advancing understanding of cardiac and vascular disease mechanisms, translational biomarker discovery, and clinical phenotyping. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful research at the interface of cardiovascular biology, metabolic disease, and clinical data science.
The successful candidate will work on projects investigating mechanisms of cardiovascular dysfunction, with particular interest in areas such as electrophysiology, vascular biology, cardiometabolic disease, imaging, and biomarker-based risk stratification. The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to lead and support hypothesis-driven studies, use of animal models, analyze complex experimental and clinical datasets, prepare manuscripts for publication, and contribute to grant development and collaborative research activities.
The postdoctoral fellow will design, conduct, and interpret independent and collaborative research in cardiovascular sciences. Responsibilities include managing research datasets, applying appropriate statistical and computational methods, preparing figures and scientific reports, presenting findings at lab meetings and scientific conferences, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications. The fellow may also assist in mentoring graduate or medical students and in coordinating multidisciplinary collaborations across basic, translational, and clinical research teams.
Applicants should hold a PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree in cell biology, computational biology, physiology, biomedical sciences, epidemiology, or a related discipline. Candidates should demonstrate a strong publication record or clear evidence of research productivity relative to career stage. Experience in one or more relevant areas such as cardiac physiology, molecular biology, omics, clinical research, biostatistics, or computational analysis is highly desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Experience with cardiovascular phenotyping, ECG or imaging analysis, translational human studies, animal models, metabolic profiling, and statistical programming in R, Python, SPSS, Stata, or similar platforms will be considered an advantage. Candidates with interest in bridging mechanistic and patient-centered research are especially encouraged to apply.
This position provides an intellectually stimulating research environment, access to collaborative clinical and laboratory networks, opportunities for career development, conference presentation, and high-impact publication. The fellow will receive mentorship tailored to support independent academic development and future fellowship or faculty applications.
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and institutional guidelines.
