Title: Postdoctoral Scholar - Department of Pharmaceutics
The successful candidate will work closely with the PI and collaborators in a highly collaborative environment. The candidate will plan and perform experiments, write manuscripts, and participate in and present research findings at local and national meetings. Some other tasks such as coordination with co-investigators, mentoring graduate students, and ordering lab supplies will be expected.
The anticipated start date is January 1st, 2026.
The base salary range for this position will be $5,705 - $5,855 per month ($68,460 - $70,260 per 12-month academic year), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This is a grant-funded 12-month appointment renewable for up to three years provided funding availability and performance.
Postdoctoral scholars are represented by UAW 4121 and are subject to the collective bargaining agreement, unless agreed exclusion criteria apply. For more information, please visit the University of Washington Labor Relations website.
Ph.D. and/or M.D. or foreign equivalent required, in biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, toxicology or a closely related field.
Must have a strong background in molecular and biomedical research, with training and experience in cell and tissue culture, molecular analysis, protein expression, bioanalytical skills, bioinformatics, writing manuscripts and grant or fellowship applications.
The candidate must be self-motivated and willing to acquire new skills and enjoy working both independently and in a team setting. Excellent attention to detail, good organization, and communication skills are essential to success.
