Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to transform complex data into clear, meaningful, and actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models that reflect key business performance indicators, trends, and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and refine reporting and analytical requirements, translating business needs into effective Power BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain interactive, visually compelling Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards that track KPIs, trends, and operational metrics.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data models using Power Query and DAX to support accurate, efficient, and high-performance analysis.
  • Integrate and transform data from multiple sources including SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise data systems.
  • Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure secure, role-based access to data in compliance with governance and privacy policies.
  • Configure, monitor, and optimize Incremental Refresh for large or time-based datasets to improve performance and reduce data refresh times.
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance to ensure reports are accurate, consistent, and trusted by stakeholders.
  • Automate data refresh schedules and monitor refresh success rates in Power BI Service, ensuring timely and reliable availability of reports.
  • Monitor report usage, performance, and load times, implementing enhancements and optimizations to improve user experience and adoption.
  • Provide actionable insights, recommendations, and ad hoc analysis to support business decisions and evolving requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineering and IT teams to ensure data pipelines, security controls, and platform integrations are robust and reliable.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation covering data sources, report logic, DAX calculations, security roles, and data model architecture.
  • Support self-service analytics by enabling reusable datasets, templates, and certified reports that empower business users.
  • Deliver training, guidance, and support materials to onboard users and improve Power BI adoption and data literacy.
  • Maintain version control, change logs, and deployment standards for Power BI assets to ensure traceability and governance.
  • Track and deliver measurable outcomes including on-time report delivery, high user adoption, fast report performance, strong data accuracy, and high stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensure consistent refresh success rates, zero unauthorized data access incidents, and compliance with security and governance standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and analytics features through proofs of concept and iterative improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI including Power Query, DAX, data modeling, report development, publishing, and performance optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering end-to-end Power BI solutions, from requirement gathering through deployment and user adoption.
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying, transforming, and optimizing relational data sources such as SQL Server or Azure SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI Service features including workspaces, apps, scheduled refresh, Row-Level Security (RLS), and Incremental Refresh.
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources such as Excel, SharePoint, APIs, cloud storage, and enterprise systems into unified analytical models.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts including star and snowflake schemas, data lakes, and analytical modeling best practices.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or other modern data platforms is highly desirable.
  • Experience implementing data validation, governance, compliance, and security practices within enterprise reporting environments.
  • Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional and agile team environments.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn new tools, features, and analytics best practices.

  • Relevant certifications are preferred, including Microsoft Certified: PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate.
