Power BI Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and SQL, with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into BI solutions
• Build and optimize data models using Power BI (Star/Snowflake schema)
• Develop DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs for advanced analytics
• Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (SQL Server, Azure, APIs, Excel, etc.)
• Optimize report performance and ensure scalability and data accuracy
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage access controls
• Maintain documentation for reports, data models, and ETL processes
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, and enhancements
• Ensure best practices in visualization, usability, and governance
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in BI, analytics, or data visualization roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (Desktop, Service, Gateway)
• Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling
• Advanced SQL skills (queries, views, stored procedures, performance tuning)
• Experience working with large datasets and complex data environments
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Experience with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory) is a plus
• Knowledge of Power BI deployment pipelines and workspace management
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Power BI certification (PL-300 or equivalent)
• Experience in finance, telecom, retail, or oil & gas domains
• Exposure to other BI tools (Tableau, SSRS, SSAS)
• Experience working in Middle East projects is an advantage
