Power BI Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a Power BI Analyst (Emirati National) to support the Data & AI Platform by developing secure, scalable reporting solutions. The role involves building Power BI dashboards, supporting Blazor-based reporting applications, and assisting with ETL processes to enable data-driven decision-making within a highly governed and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI & Analytics

• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business functions (Finance, Operations, Procurement, HR)
• Create data models, DAX measures, and KPIs to support strategic decision-making
• Enable self-service analytics while adhering to security and governance standards
• Assist in embedding, performance tuning, and UI enhancements for enterprise reporting solutions
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and ensure seamless user experience

ETL & Data Platform Support

• Assist in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
• Work with structured and unstructured data within the enterprise data platform (e.g., Microsoft Fabric/Azure)
• Ensure data quality, validation, and consistency across systems

Data Governance & Security

• Comply with company data governance, security, and confidentiality standards
• Support implementation of data access controls, masking, and reporting security (RLS)
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for data and reporting assets

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into dashboards
• Support UAT sessions, feedback incorporation, and report enhancements
• Provide guidance to users on dashboard usage and insights interpretation

Required Qualifications

• UAE National (Emirati) – Mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in Power BI / Data Analytics / Reporting

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Power BI (Desktop, Service, DAX, Data Modelling)
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
• Experience with ETL tools (Informatica IICS, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, etc.)
• Basic understanding of Blazor / .NET applications (preferred)
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts

Preferred Skills

• Proven experience in data lake implementation using Oracle (e.g., Oracle Cloud/ADW/OCI) or similar platforms (Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, etc.)
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and large-scale data processing
• Experience working in investment or financial services domain
• Ability to design and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and data platforms
• Good stakeholder management and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
