Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced PowerBuilder & .NET Developer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise-level business applications. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who has worked extensively with legacy PowerBuilder systems and modern .NET technologies, and who can confidently handle system enhancements, migrations, and long-term application stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, support, and enhance PowerBuilder applications used in daily business operations.
• Develop and support applications using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, Web APIs).
• Analyze existing systems and implement enhancements, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
• Work closely with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform database design, optimization, and complex query development using SQL Server / Oracle.
• Participate in system upgrades, modernization, and partial or full migration from PowerBuilder to .NET.
• Ensure application security, stability, and compliance with internal standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide ongoing application support.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Strong expertise in PowerBuilder (DataWindows, PFC, application frameworks).
• Solid experience with .NET technologies including C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and Web APIs.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
• Experience in maintaining large-scale or legacy enterprise applications.
• Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to work independently and handle end-to-end application ownership.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience in migrating legacy applications to modern platforms.
• Knowledge of REST services, integrations, and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with version control tools and CI/CD processes.
• Experience working in government, banking, or enterprise environments.

Salary Range

AED 15,000 – 25,000 per month (depending on experience and skill set).
