Power Plant
Mechanical Engineer
to be based at on Liberia, responsible for managing maintenance, repair, and operational processes of diesel generator systems and auxiliary mechanical equipment used in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and supervise the maintenance, repair, and operational processes of diesel generators, pumps, and auxiliary mechanical equipment,

Monitor generator performance data, analyze fault trends, and develop preventive maintenance strategies,

Provide technical support in troubleshooting and intervention processes alongside field teams,
-
Support heavy maintenance operations such as engine overhaul, cylinder head maintenance, lubrication, and cooling system inspections,
-
Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are performed in accordance with manufacturer instructions and technical standards,
-
Maintain accurate technical reports, measurement records, and spare parts documentation,
-
Identify spare parts and consumables requirements, monitor stock levels, and ensure timely availability,
-
Oversee mechanical activities in compliance with occupational safety regulations and conduct risk assessments as required,
-
Supervise installation and commissioning of mechanical systems in new projects and different locations,
-
Provide field training and technical guidance to technicians and junior staff,
-
Collaborate with engineering departments to ensure uninterrupted production and energy continuity,
-
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintain work order records for reporting to the section chief.
Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering,
-
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ field and maintenance experience in industrial facilities (preferably in energy production or generator systems).

Technical Skills:
-
Hands-on experience in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diesel generator systems,
-
Technical knowledge of generator brands such as MTU, Perkins, CAT, Cummins, etc.

Familiarity with engine components (cylinder head, piston-ring, turbo, valve) and heavy maintenance processes,
-
Ability to use and interpret precision measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, comparator, torque wrench, plastigage, gauge set),
-
Basic knowledge of SCADA and automation systems; awareness of integration with field devices,

Ability to read and apply technical documentation, maintenance instructions, and service manuals,
-
Soft Skills:
Strong in team management, work planning, and technical reporting. Excellent problem-solving and technical communication skills, able to make quick decisions in the field,

Language:
Advanced proficiency in English (reading, writing, and technical communication)
