Position Overview

As the Power Plant Operations Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production processes at our energy facilities. From supervising day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, to collaborating with cross-functional teams on commissioning and ramp-up activities, you will play a pivotal role in achieving optimal energy output. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy production, particularly within power plants, and hands-on experience with power plant projects and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Production Oversight: Manage and monitor daily production activities across all energy systems (solar, gas-to-power, and storage). Develop and implement production schedules to meet operational and performance targets.

Commissioning and Start-Up: Participate in commissioning activities to ensure seamless handover from construction to operations. Help identify and troubleshoot operational issues during commissioning to maintain efficiency and safety standards.

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and support staff. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and collaboration.

Quality and Compliance : Ensure all production processes comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Implement quality control measures and oversee periodic audits.

Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate production workflows to identify areas for improvement, cost savings, and efficiency gains. Introduce and manage innovations in energy production technologies and best practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with internal departments (e.g., Maintenance, Procurement, and Project Management) and external vendors to coordinate activities. Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, ensuring alignment with community and environmental considerations.

Safety and Risk Management : Develop and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace hazards. Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations as needed.

Reporting and Analysis : Prepare regular performance reports, including production metrics, operational costs, and efficiency analyses. Present findings and recommendations to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in energy production or power plant operations. Demonstrated success in managing commissioning and start-up processes.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of power generation technologies, including both traditional (gas-to-power) and renewable (solar) systems. Familiarity with industry best practices in commissioning, operations, and maintenance.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic environment.

Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in Turkish is an advantage.
