Job Purpose
The Power Supply Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and availability of the Metro Line 3 (L3) power supply network. This role involves leading maintenance operations, managing technical teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The engineer will play a key role in sustaining infrastructure, supporting strategic initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in service quality.

Infrastructure Sustainability & Technical Oversight

Ensure the long-term sustainability of high-voltage stations, rectifier stations, and lighting power systems.

Monitor and analyze the condition of the power supply system, including inventory and stock levels.

Participate in defining renewal and modernization plans for equipment.
Team Leadership & Staff Development

Lead, manage, and support supervisors, technicians, and operators.

Promote new working methods and quality management practices.

Participate in training programs and ensure execution of departmental training plans.
Maintenance Operations & Safety Compliance

Organize, plan, and control maintenance activities across shifts.

Ensure strict adherence to hygiene and safety protocols.

Oversee corrective and cyclical maintenance projects to guarantee railway safety.
Strategic & Operational Alignment

Support the company’s strategic orientations by aligning maintenance activities with economic and operational goals.

Coordinate between night and day teams to ensure service continuity.

Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Emergency & Risk Management

Respond to emergency situations and manage interventions effectively.

Identify and mitigate risks related to power supply systems and maintenance operations.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

Fluent in English and Arabic, French is a plus.
Knowledge
-
Deep understanding of metro power supply systems and operational constraints.

Proficiency in CMMS software and MS Office Suite.

Ability to work on both operated and unoperated tracks.

Knowledge of site planning methods.

Proficiency in emergency intervention management.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Clear and confident communicator, capable of interacting professionally with colleagues and clients alike
Experience

3–5 years of experience in power supply maintenance, preferably in a metro or rail environment.

Experience in changing management and team leadership.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with power supply systems.
