We are seeking a Power Platform Developer with a strong focus on Microsoft Power Automate to design, build, and deliver workflow automation solutions for utility and ERP customers. This role combines hands-on development, customer-facing delivery, and solution ownership, helping modernize and extend core ERP and CIS platforms through secure, scalable automation.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with customers, translating complex operational and regulatory requirements into reliable automation solutions, and delivering with a high level of professionalism and accountability. At Cogsdale, we expect excellent results, clear communication, and a growth mindset—while fostering a culture that values teamwork, learning, and sustainable work practices.

Key Responsibilities
Power Automate Development & Workflow Automation
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Power Automate cloud flows (and desktop/RPA flows where applicable) to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Build workflows including approvals, notifications, escalations, exception handling, retries, and audit-friendly logging.
  • Apply best practices for maintainability, performance, and error handling in all automation solutions.
  • Document flows, dependencies, connection references, environment variables, and operational runbooks.

Utility & ERP Automation Delivery
  • Deliver Power Automate solutions for utility and ERP customers, supporting workflows such as:
    • Customer and service requests
    • Purchasing and requisition approvals
    • Billing- and finance-adjacent processes
  • Notifications, integrations, and operational alerts
  • Design automations that extend ERP platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and CIS solutions without unnecessary customization.
  • Understand and account for utility-specific requirements, including regulatory compliance, auditability, segregation of duties, and role-based approvals.
  • Support customer implementations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives, using Power Automate to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

Customer-Facing Delivery & Professional Services
  • Act as a customer-facing Power Automate specialist, engaging directly with clients during discovery, design, build, testing, and go-live phases.
  • Participate in customer workshops, demos, and solution walkthroughs, explaining automation designs and outcomes in clear, business-friendly language.
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable automation solutions while balancing delivery speed with long-term maintainability.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Product, Support, and Managed Services teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide post-implementation support, documentation, and knowledge transfer, enabling customer self-sufficiency and long-term success.
  • Represent Cogsdale with professionalism, accountability, and customer empathy in all interactions.

Integrations & Microsoft Ecosystem
  • Build automations integrating Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Forms) and line-of-business systems using standard connectors and APIs.
  • Support ERP-adjacent integration scenarios, including approvals, data synchronization, and event-driven workflows.
  • Contribute reusable automation patterns and accelerators that can be leveraged across multiple customer engagements.

Governance, Security & ALM
  • Design solutions that align with Power Platform governance standards, including environment strategy and role-based access.
  • Work within Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, ensuring compliant connector usage and controlled data movement.
  • Package work using Power Platform solutions, managing environment variables and deployment readiness.
  • Support structured promotion across environments (Dev/Test/Prod) and participate in ALM / DevOps practices (e.g., Azure DevOps pipelines where applicable).

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience delivering workflow automation, with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Proven experience building end-to-end workflows using triggers, actions, conditions, expressions, approvals, and error handling.
  • Experience working directly with customers or stakeholders in a delivery or professional services context.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services and connector-based integrations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer-facing priorities.
