A Production Planning and Control (PPC) Manager in textile and apparel industry optimizes manufacturing operations. They oversee the end-to-end production cycle, coordinating raw material planning, capacity mapping, and delivery schedules to meet local and export targets while keeping operational costs minimal and efficiency high.
Key Responsibilities
- Master Planning & Production Scheduling: Develop Master Timeline and execute detailed weekly and monthly production plans based on confirmed orders and demand forecasts.
- Material Resource Planning (MRP): Ensure timely availability of fabrics, trims, and accessories by coordinating directly with procurement and merchandising departments.
- Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP): Assess factory capacity product-by-product to allocate resources efficiently, balancing production lines and optimizing machine utilization.
- Time & Action (TNA) Management: Create and monitor critical paths from order receipt to final dispatch, preventing bottlenecks across cutting, stitching, processing, and finishing stages.
- WIP & Inventory Control: Track Work-In-Progress (WIP) levels to prevent idle time, identify dead/slow-moving stock, and minimize excess inventory holding costs.
- Reporting & KPIs: Prepare performance and capacity utilization reports for management, tracking metrics such as On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery rates.
Core Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience: 10 years minimum.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, capacity planning expertise, and cross-functional stakeholder management to align diverse teams like QA, stores, and sourcing.
Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
