About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Expert / Lawyer specializing in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Concession Contracts to join our firm in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in PPP frameworks, infrastructure project structuring, and concession agreements, with a proven track record of advising on complex infrastructure initiatives across India.
This position offers an opportunity to work on high-value infrastructure projects, support government and private sector clients, and contribute to shaping PPP strategies and policies in diverse sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advisory and transactional support in the development, structuring, and management of PPP projects across physical and social infrastructure sectors.
- Draft, review, and negotiate concession agreements, project development agreements, and other PPP-related legal documentation.
- Advise on PPP methodologies, frameworks, and institutional structures, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support clients through the formulation, appraisal, and approval processes for PPP projects.
- Assist in the design and implementation of tendering processes, including bid documentation and evaluation.
- Advise on infrastructure financing models, risk allocation frameworks, and innovative PPP structures.
- Conduct valuation and assessment of investment portfolios related to infrastructure assets.
- Support the development of reliable Management Information Systems (MIS) to facilitate accurate decision-making in PPP project management.
- Liaise with relevant government departments and agencies, and represent clients in negotiations or consultations involving public authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized university or institution (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10–15 years of total professional experience, including at least 5 years of specific experience in PPP projects within infrastructure sectors.
- Experience in advising or working with Central or State Government agencies will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated involvement in 3–5 or more PPP assignments in India.
