Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Serves as a legal advisor and business partner providing legal advice and assistance on matters related to a health law practice area.
Provides legal guidance and counsel on topics including:
- Physician recruitment arrangements
- Physician employment arrangements
- Professional services agreements
- Medico-administrative and call coverage arrangements
- Working with internal and external partners on Fair Market Value analyses, including utilization of internal tools
- Supporting operations of a large medical group with locations in 16 states
- Supporting hospital operations regarding physician engagement
- General contracting
Requires working in a mission focused, dynamic and collaborative team environment with other healthcare attorneys and direct engagement with business and clinical operations teams.

Responsibilities:

Provides strategic legal advice, support and counsel through the organization's legal function in support of strategic and operational priorities.
Supports, promotes and implements legal initiatives.
Advances the implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Keeps current with legal developments affecting the health law practice area and incorporates such information into advice, counsel and support for the organization.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Attorney obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

Education:

Juris Doctorate degree required.

Work Experience:

5 years of experience as licensed, practicing attorney required.
