Pre-Clinical Study Manager - Oncology Drug Development

Overview
The Preclinical Manager will lead and oversee the planning, execution, and analysis of preclinical studies to support oncology drug development. This leadership role involves cross-functional collaboration, study design, data interpretation, project management and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate in-vivo and ex-vivo preclinical studies, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and protocol development.
  • Lead, mentor, and recruit scientific staff, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Oversee documentation, regulatory compliance (GLP, SOPs), and reporting of all study activities.
  • Engage with internal teams and external partners to advance projects efficiently, maintaining high-quality research standards.
  • Analyze and interpret scientific data, preparing comprehensive scientific reports and presentations.
  • Maintain comprehensive project management and program documentation systems.
  • Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, CROs, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • PhD, PharmD, or MD in a life science field (oncology, pharmacology, biology, or related).
  • 5+ years of experience in preclinical research, ideally in oncology drug development within biotech or pharma.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of preclinical drug development, in vivo and ex vivo techniques, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Proven project management, leadership, and communication abilities.
  • Experience managing or working with CROs is preferred.
  • Qualified for animal experimentation.
