Pre-Construction Coordinator

Eco Home Builders is one of Southern California’s fastest-growing design-build remodeling firms, handling 150+ residential projects at any given time across San Diego and Orange County. We specialize in high-end remodels, additions, ADUs, and new construction.

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Pre-Construction Coordinator to help bridge the gap between design, permitting, material planning, and construction kickoff. You will be at the center of our project launch team — helping ensure every project hits the ground running with clear timelines, permits, and resources in place.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the point of contact between the design team, sales reps, permit runners, and project managers during pre-construction
• Manage and track permitting progress across all active jobs
• Coordinate pre-construction site walks with PMs, contractors, designers, and clients
• Organize and document kickoff meeting checklists
• Maintain accurate Buildertrend records for all pre-construction jobs
• Track material ordering timelines (cabinetry, windows, long-lead items) to avoid job delays
• Follow up on engineering revisions, city corrections, and plan resubmissions
• Ensure handoff packages (plans, scope, selections, contract) are complete and ready for PMs

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years experience in construction coordination, design-build, or permitting support
• Strong communication & follow-through — you’re the glue that holds multiple departments together
• Buildertrend or similar construction software experience is a big plus
• Strong spreadsheet/Excel or Airtable tracking skills
• Understanding of permit and city processes in Southern California
• Comfortable managing 20–40 jobs in pre-construction at once
• Fluent in English (Spanish is a bonus)

• You own and run the entire pre-construction phase like a machine

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
