Pre-K 4 Teacher

Do you want to create a positive first learning experience and spend the day caring for children as they discover the world around them? We are looking for a teacher to lead our 4 year old students for the upcoming school year! Our next teacher would need to be caring, creative, outgoing and have a few years of classroom experience. Alternatively, you can be starting your journey in the classroom after completing higher education coursework in early childhood education. At the Ridgewood YMCA, you’ll guide children through age-appropriate curriculum, spark curiosity, and build lasting connections with families and fellow educators. This role is part time, so you'll have the option to support our summer camp and other fun YMCA programs during the summer. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Preschool Teacher provides direct supervision and guidance to children in a preschool classroom setting, implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that support their growth and development. This role is responsible for creating a safe, engaging environment that encourages positive behavior and fosters meaningful connections among children, the other students, and families. The Ridgewood YMCA Preschool Program operates Monday – Friday, from September through June. Applicants must be available from 8:30am-3:30pm.
