Pre K Assistant Teacher

Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Pre K Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape the foundational years of young learners. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for preschool children. Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math activities, and early childhood development strategies
  • Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop social skills
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and independence
  • Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean learning environment
  • Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation
  • Support toddlers and preschoolers with routines such as snack time, bathroom breaks, and nap times in a caring manner
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere

Skills

  • Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones
  • Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
  • Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
  • Ability to assist with lesson planning that incorporates Montessori or other educational philosophies like preschool or toddler care approaches
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families
  • Familiarity with curriculum development for literacy education, math, and overall preschool programming
  • Demonstrated experience working with young children in daycare or private school settings is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
