Job Title: PRE-K LEAD TEACHER

JOB SUMMARY: The Pre-K Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for preschool-aged children. This position requires strong instructional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to ensure that each child’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development is supported in alignment with school standards and early childhood best practices.

The Lead Teacher plans and delivers daily lessons, assesses student progress, and maintains effective communication with parents, colleagues, and administrators. In addition, the Lead Teacher provides guidance to assistant teachers, ensures classroom safety, and fosters a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child can thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning. Work is performed under the supervision of the principal. Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

 Delivering lessons and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.

 Ensure developments that are in accordance with established procedures.

 Instructing and monitoring students in the use of learning materials and equipment.

 Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.

 Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.

 Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies.

 Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.

 Prepare required reports on students and activities.

 Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.

 Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.

 Observe and evaluate student's performance and development.

 Teach Bible and grade Bible class work, homework, tests and assignments

Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following

 Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.

 Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested.

 Participate in appropriate professional activities.

 Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, team building activities, clubs and student organizations as directed.

 Other duties as assigned.

 High School Diploma

 Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.

 Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

 Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.

 Meet professional teacher education requirements of school.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
