Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to inspire young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. Responsibilities
- Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, incorporating curriculum development principles that foster literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Lead daily classroom activities that support childhood development milestones, including toddler care and preschool readiness skills.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, behavioral observations, and developmental goals to promote child welfare and family engagement.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain an organized learning space conducive to active participation and learning.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention practices to support diverse learners with varying needs.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Supervise assistant teachers or aides, providing mentorship and ensuring adherence to educational best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
- Strong background in childhood development, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
- Knowledge of curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Experience with special education strategies and early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to plan lessons effectively and adapt instruction based on individual student needs.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education.
- Certification or credential in early childhood education or related field is preferred; Montessori certification is a plus.
