Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curricula that promote the holistic development of preschool-aged children.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through structured activities and play.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies to guide students.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns regarding their development.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress in literacy, math, and other key areas of learning.
  • Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
  • Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management techniques.
  • Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities tailored to preschool-aged children.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and literacy education methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience with Montessori methods or teaching physical education is advantageous.
  • Ability to provide tutoring support in math and literacy as needed. We are excited to welcome a new member to our team who shares our commitment to child welfare and education!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
