Pre-K Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time (40 hours per week) Pre-K Teacher to join our team and provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Responsible for administering the Pre-K program at the classroom level. The main focus is preparing students to be ready for kindergarten by teaching early learning foundations in basic subjects such as pre-reading readiness, and early math experiences are practiced daily. Prepare daily lessons and exercises; follow age-appropriate curriculum guidelines for preschoolers. Help students integrate with one another and interact in groups; identify emotional problems and address them with the child's parents or guardians during parent-teacher conferences. Assists Center Director in planning and implementing activities designed to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or be enrolled in courses towards a bachelor's degree in early childhood education within 6 months after hire, and must complete at least 6 credits annually;
• Must have obtained CDA;
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred;
• Two (2) years' experience in working with children in a day care setting;
• Successfully complete Early Pre-K Database training;
• Knowledge and experience on the normal range of development of children;
• Demonstrate excellent leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate people.
• Must have a valid NM Driver's License with the ability to drive;
• Able to comply with a level II background screening as required by agency and State Licensing;
• Basic computer literacy in email usage, word processing, and internet navigation.
