Pre-K Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that support child development and school readiness
• Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
• Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through hands-on learning experiences
• Provide individualized support and guidance to meet the unique needs of each child
• Use positive classroom management techniques to maintain a nurturing learning environment
• Build positive relationships and maintain open communication with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Support children with diverse learning needs using appropriate early intervention and inclusion strategies
• Incorporate literacy, language, music, movement, and physical activity into daily instruction
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records in accordance with program requirements
• Collaborate professionally with fellow educators and administration to support program goals

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree (AA) or Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Early Childhood Education (ECED), or currently enrolled in an ECED degree program
• Previous experience working in a preschool or early childhood setting preferred
• Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Ability to create an inclusive, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and success
