A Pre-Primary Coordinator is an educational leader who manages the daily operations and curriculum for a preschool or kindergarten program. This role involves supervising teachers, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment, developing lesson plans, monitoring student progress, and communicating with parents. Key responsibilities

  • Curriculum and instruction: Design, implement, and oversee the curriculum, often ensuring it meets specific standards like CBSE. They are responsible for planning educational activities and using creative teaching aids.
  • Staff management: Supervise, guide, and support pre-primary teachers. This includes conducting staff meetings and organizing professional development workshops.
  • Student development: Monitor student progress, maintain records, and implement strategies for improvement. They focus on fostering social, emotional, and moral development in young children.
  • Parent and community relations: Act as a liaison between the school and parents, addressing their concerns and keeping them informed about their child's development.
  • Operational management: Ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the department, including managing materials and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Montessori training, or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a pre-primary or kindergarten teaching role is often preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a creative, patient, and empathetic approach to working with young children.
