The Pre-Primary Centre Head is responsible for leading the overall functioning of the early childhood centre, ensuring high-quality learning experiences, safety, operational excellence, and strong parent engagement. This role combines academic leadership, administrative management, and team development to create a nurturing and effective learning environment for children aged 2–6 years.
- Monitor lesson plans, classroom observations, and learning outcomes.
- Guide teachers in child-centred instructional practices.
- Organize academic events, assemblies, celebrations, and learning showcases.
- Conduct regular team meetings and professional development sessions.
- Maintain staff schedules, attendance, and performance records.
- Foster a positive, collaborative school culture.
- Manage day-to-day school operations, including admissions, fee follow-ups, and documentation.
- Ensure the centre meets all safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee stock management—learning materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Coordinate transportation .
- Implement and monitor child protection policies.
- Maintain health and safety protocols, including emergency procedures.
- Track children's development, behaviour, and special needs; communicate with parents when required.
- Conduct orientations, parent-teacher meetings, and ongoing communication.
- Address parent queries, concerns, and feedback with empathy and professionalism.
- Build strong family engagement through events, workshops, and community initiatives.
Lead counselling sessions, and admission processes.
- Maintain student records, attendance, progress reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Provide periodic reports to senior management on academics, staff, finance, and operations.
- Ensure compliance with education guidelines, safety norms, and organizational policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education / Education / Child Development (preferred).
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in pre-primary teaching, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.
