Precision GTAW Welder

We are seeking a skilled Precision TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of high-precision metal components. You will utilize your expertise in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding to perform complex repairs and production welding, directly impacting the quality standards of our finished products.

• Execute high-quality production and repair welds on castings and industrial fixtures to meet rigorous Class A inspection standards.
• Configure and operate AC/DC power sources and welding torches, ensuring optimal settings for gas flow and amperage.
• Fabricate custom copper backups to support precise weld applications across various metal alloys, including aluminum.
• Perform essential metal preparation, blending, and finishing tasks to ensure seamless integration of repaired areas.
• Interpret technical blueprints and weld procedures to maintain consistency and accuracy in all fabrication projects.
• Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot equipment and optimize welding parameters for maximum efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience in TIG welding.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating welding equipment for diverse production needs.

Preferred Skills

• Completion of a formal vocational welding program or technical certification.
• Advanced proficiency in manual Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) utilizing remote foot controls.
• Experience with post-weld metal cleaning and finishing techniques.
