Duties

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, measuring, and organizing them for daily menu items
• Cook dishes according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate
• Assist with menu planning by suggesting seasonal or creative ideas to enhance offerings
• Maintain food safety standards through proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
• Support kitchen operations during busy service hours by managing multiple stations and assisting team members
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a timely manner to meet service deadlines
• Follow all food industry regulations and safety protocols to uphold a clean and safe kitchen environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling and safety procedures
• Proven culinary experience with strong knife skills and meal preparation abilities
• Background in food service or restaurant environments that emphasizes teamwork and efficiency
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices within the food industry
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience with menu planning, catering, or serving is advantageous but not required
• Enthusiasm for learning new cooking techniques and contributing to a positive kitchen atmosphere
