Presales Engineer / Smart Home & BMS Systems Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and BOQs for Smart Home and BMS systems at presales stage;
• Select suitable automation equipment based on project requirements, design intent, and client expectations (luxury villas, residential buildings, commercial spaces);
• Develop technical concepts, wiring diagrams, system architecture, and device layouts (KNX, DALI, Modbus, etc.);
• Collaborate closely with consultants, MEP engineers, interior designers, and main contractors during design and bidding phases;
• Support sales team by presenting solutions to clients, attending technical meetings, and clarifying scope;
• Maintain awareness of local authority regulations (DEWA, Dubai Municipality) and ensure system compliance when applicable.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Smart Home / BMS system design (2+ years in GCC market preferred);
• Solid understanding of automation protocols (KNX, DALI, Modbus, BACnet, Zigbee, etc.);
• Hands-on experience with international brands (ABB, Jung, Gira, Zennio, Schneider, HDL, etc.);
• Ability to read and create drawings (AutoCAD, Visio, or BIM tools);
• Technical background in electrical engineering, automation, or related field (Bachelor’s Degree);
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
