About the Role

As a Presales Engineer – Systems (Supermicro), you will serve as the technical expert supporting ICT’s systems and server product portfolio, with a primary focus on Supermicro solutions. This role is responsible for providing end-to-end presales support, solution design, technical presentations, and partner enablement to drive the adoption of Supermicro systems across South Asia—especially in Pakistan.

You will work closely with the sales team, vendor partners, and channel ecosystem to understand customer requirements, propose optimized infrastructure solutions, and ensure successful technical alignment between ICT, partners, and end-users.

Responsibilities

Technical Presales & Solution Design

• Serve as the primary technical expert for Supermicro systems, servers, storage, and data center hardware.
• Engage with partners and customers to understand business and technical requirements.
• Design tailored server, storage, and compute solutions using Supermicro architectures.
• Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM), configurations, and solution architecture documentation.

Customer & Partner Engagement

• Conduct technical presentations, demos, and product briefings showcasing Supermicro capabilities.
• Support proof-of-concepts, performance benchmarks, and technical validations as needed.
• Provide technical responses for RFQs, RFPs, and tender proposals.

Collaboration with Sales & Vendors

• Work closely with sales teams to support deal qualification, scoping, and technical closure.
• Collaborate with the Supermicro vendor team to ensure product availability, roadmap alignment, and partner readiness.
• Assist in technical onboarding and enablement of ICT channel partners in Pakistan.

Market & Technology Intelligence

• Stay updated on emerging server, data center, and cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Monitor competitive landscapes and recommend positioning strategies.
• Provide insights into customer use cases, industry trends, and product adoption.

Operational Coordination

• Support internal teams in validating configurations, pricing accuracy, and solution requirements.
• Ensure compliance with vendor guidelines, technical standards, and recommended best practices.
• Identify opportunities to optimize presales processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Reporting & Continuous Support

• Provide timely reporting on active opportunities, risks, and pipeline trends.
• Highlight technical challenges, product limitations, and potential improvements to leadership.
• Undertake additional tasks as required to support ICT’s technical and sales initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Electronics, or related fields.
• Certifications in data center technologies, server infrastructure, or cloud platforms are a strong plus.
• 5+ years of experience in presales engineering, system integration, or technical consulting.
• Experience with Supermicro, Dell, HP, Lenovo, or similar enterprise server platforms is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of server architecture, virtualization, storage, networking, and HPC.
