Role Purpose

The Solutions Engineer is responsible for delivering hands-on, cost-effective pre-sales solutions with a strong focus on SCADA, Automation, BMS, and Industrial Digital Solutions . The role requires extensive experience in solution design, costing, estimation, and technical proposal development, ensuring scalable, compliant, and commercially viable offerings aligned with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze client requirements, specifications, drawings, and tender documents to design SCADA, Automation, BMS, and IoT solutions .
• Develop complete system architectures including PLCs, DCS, RTUs, instrumentation, MCCs, and final control elements .
• Prepare accurate costing, estimation, BOQs, and tender pricing in line with company costing policies to ensure profitability.
• Develop and submit technical submittals, compliance statements, and proposals .
• Define I/O lists based on drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Lead system design activities and guide the AutoCAD team in preparing compliant drawings and schematics.
• Support sales teams during tendering, bidding, and customer presentations .
• Attend technical meetings and site visits to finalize designs and secure approvals.
• Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and technology partners for vendor selection, negotiation, and technical alignment .
• Conduct project studies, site surveys, solution selection, estimation, and proposal preparation.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, specifications, and logistics considerations (Incoterms & costs) .
• Promote continuous improvement and best practices across solutions and offerings.

Required Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or system design for SCADA and Automation projects.
• Strong experience in:
• Industrial Automation: PLCs, DCS, SCADA, RTUs, instrumentation, MCCs.
• Building Automation: BMS, DDC systems.
• Monitoring & IoT: Data loggers, LoRa devices, digital platforms.
• Proven expertise in costing sheets, estimation, tender pricing, and proposal development .
• Experience supporting Scrum/Agile environments and managing multiple priorities.
• Strong understanding of logistics, Incoterms, and cost implications in solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
