Position Title: Preschool Director
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried Position
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and dedicated Preschool Director to lead the daily operations of our preschool serving up to 50 students. The Preschool Director is responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment while maintaining compliance with all licensing and accreditation requirements. This leadership role requires exceptional communication, organizational, and management skills, as well as a passion for early childhood education.
QualificationsRequired
- Florida Director Credential (or ability to obtain immediately if applicable)
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
- Extensive experience in early childhood education and childcare management
- Strong knowledge of state licensing regulations and compliance requirements
- Proven leadership and staff management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and community partners
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
- Experience managing enrollment, staffing, and budgeting
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the preschool program serving approximately 50 students.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and licensing regulations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for children and staff.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Staff Management
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate teaching and support staff.
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and professional development activities.
- Ensure proper staff scheduling and classroom coverage.
Program Quality
- Monitor classroom environments to ensure high-quality educational experiences.
- Support teachers in curriculum implementation and child development best practices.
- Ensure age-appropriate learning activities and positive behavior management strategies are consistently used.
Family Relations
- Build strong relationships with families through effective communication and partnership.
- Address parent concerns professionally and promptly.
- Conduct tours and assist with enrollment and retention efforts.
Enrollment & Administration
- Manage enrollment processes and maintain accurate student records.
- Monitor attendance, staffing ratios, and program capacity.
- Prepare required reports and documentation for licensing and inspections.
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and resource management.
