Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and promoting positive behavior among students.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and physical education activities.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports children's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while encouraging positive interactions among students.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, progress, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom setting conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in behavior management strategies and tutoring is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
