Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and promoting a love for learning. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes early childhood development, literacy education, math skills, and social-emotional growth.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori principles, physical education, and hands-on activities tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring safety, organization, and positive behavior management strategies are in place.
- Monitor and assess individual student progress through observations, standardized testing, and formative assessments; adjust instruction accordingly.
- Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence among preschool children.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design inclusive programs that support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child welfare, progress reports, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate documentation of classroom activities, student records, and compliance with licensing requirements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood education trends, classroom management techniques, and curriculum enhancements.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting; prior classroom management experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, early intervention strategies, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development models such as Montessori or other early childhood frameworks.
- Experience with special education practices and supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to plan lessons that meet educational standards while fostering creativity and critical thinking.
- Certification or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred; additional training in childhood development or special education is advantageous.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to preschool assessments is a plus.
